RPG Advanced Battle System!
I'm going to need help making a ABS system based game such as Zelda, Kingdom Hearts, and Secret of Mana.
I need help with the following:
-Need Story line
-Need 4x4 pictures of all enemies
-Need small dead sprites for each player in a layout such as 4x4, all 16 cells can be the same since dead people do not move
-Need small animated sprites for each player in a layout such as 4x4 these must all be animated and go in the following order:
(top four cells walking down)
(middle top four cells walking left)
(middle bottom four cells walking right)
(bottom four cells walking up)
-Need pictures of all characters faces
-Need names for character
-Need name for the game
-Need sound effects to use in game
-Need BGM to use in game
-Need tilesets which can easily be made by drawing houses, ground, and anything over a white serfice and saving it as a .png file.
-Need animations for characters, animations are hard to make but can be easy if you know what you are doing they use a bunch of frames on a white background to make a changing per cell animation. They can be any number of cells but have to be evenly separated.
-Need any extra ideas or criticisms.

-Advanced Hotkey skills script (used in Maplestory and many other mmos)
-Sneak and dash key (uses stamina bar)
-Defend Key script (uses shield equipped)
-Advanced Messaging System (shows faces and name)(used in Austins RPG)
-Circle Style menu system (as seen in secret of mana)
-Ucoders Caterpillar Script (party follows you)
-Party Squad keypad script (allows you to give party members commands)

My ideas
Upgrade weapon and armor system, instead of buying one. Therefore iron ore (or other raw material) is needed to become stronger. Blacksmith instead weapon/armor shop.
Each towns must contain the following: general store, blacksmith, Inn, Community Center (where main character pick up the quest of the town)
Job promotion system. Depends on the job you choose you learn different skills.
3 different starting characters. and depend on the starting character his/her team of 3 would be different also.
Finding magic stones for the caster to cast magics
that is my basic idea so far
and i don't see why sneak would be needed and stamina bar i don't like it, it would be a pain in the ass, and if you get a bike or horse in the game what is the point of that stamina bar
and you should make dash available only when you are not engage. and in the engagement the dash become like a roll or something to increase the evade, and i kind of want the character to jump for attacking the flying enemies.

I like all your ideas. Job promotion would be tricky, but I think I can do it with some common events.
The stamina and dash/sneak is all in the ABS to begin with so it would be a total pain to remove it, so that is kind of stuck that way. besides you need dash to get around enemies. It is only a lvl 5 dash so when you get bike I might be able to make it be a lvl6 dash.
The 3 starting characters feature is quite vague, I rellay don't know what you mean...just your team is different or the story too?

The jump idea would be really hard to animate and would require another character set for all characters which would suck, so I say that is a bad idea.

Switched to Blizz ABS but then switched back since it didn't display skills when used, and didn't allow for circle menu or ranged weapons

My Ideas for a story line based on Zuri and Kevin's thoughts so far..
1)The main character a young child(you choose who) lives in a small town away from regular society(farmer? Islander?), After a large earthquake hits his parents are in need of immediate medical attention. Since they live in this rural area there are no hospitals around, and the phone lines don't work since the earthquake knocked down the power lines. The boy is forced into modern society only to find it is also destroyed from the earthquake. It turns out that the earthquake isn't really an earthquake it was really alien zombies that hit the earth with their spaceships and are know turning other humans into zombies. The main character must destroy his way through the zombies to get to the main ship and then go and destroy the man in the ship while seeking a cure for his parents.
2)Main character is an Island Indian who's village was ravaged by monsters, it turns out the monsters are a government Bionic warfare test. The main character being the only one to survive the ordeal runs over to the Government areas to seek revenge
3)You are a monk living in a temple when suddenly you are raided by monsters and destroyed, you ran away which was against your beliefs and for that you will always

hehe i got an idea =]]. make me (cleric dude) a summoner also at higher lvls and u get like a new summon every multiple of 5 for the level.
For example at lvl 5 u get a crapest summon, at lvl 10 u get crap summon, and at lvl 15 u get ok, 20 good, 25 GOOOOOD, 30 the best =].
Also i can help out on making a story line. im sorta good at that stuff, so yeahhh.
oooo and dude austin im confused on how the story line has to be. like does it have to be like an FF7 type? or a zelda more? that would be some help =].
i probably wont be able to help with the technical crap cause i just aint good at that stuff. lol. i leave it to u asains and austin whos crasin

Uhm well I don't want to copy any storyline, but just remember there are no rpg FF-type battles. All battles are like Zelda, all are outside and non engaged. The technical stuff is not as complex as you say it is. It is actually very easy. I will post some examples of what I need for grapics in the next post.

This is a gyrocopter it is way more complex than what I want from you guys due to its shadow. This is to be used on the world map.
This is a skeleton simpler to make but still better than what i expect since it is made by a pro
This explains what is what when making the pic if the person or vehicle keeps going right it will loop the 3rd row if they keep going away from you it will loop the top 4. ect ect. you can use MS Paint to do these but save the image set as a .png when you are done making it.
See not that hard =]
